Your Phoenix Engagement session is coming, and you aren’t familiar with being all lovie-dovie in front of a camera with your beau. Normally, outside of senior photos, our engagement photos are the second professional photos we’ve ever taken, so the pressure is on, right? Wrong!

Here’s some helpful tips and tricks on how to nail the best photos with your groom.
Tip Number One- Relax
I know, I know. You want some amazing shots to use for your Save the Dates, for social media, and for the house, but you don’t want to look stressed in the photos. So breath, enjoy the time together getting all cute and cuddly. Whisper in one another’s ear. Make each other laugh! The more comfortable and relaxed you are, the more natural the photos will come together.

Tip Number Two- Change it up
Don’t be afraid to move. If your photographer guides you into a pose, movement makes the photos 100% better! After being in a pose for even ten seconds, it looks stiff… Don’t be stiff- breathe, touch one another. If your photographer has you place your hand on his chest, do it! But maybe the next shot, move your hand up to his gorgeous manly face and guide him in for a smooch! He’s earned it. Have him gently stroke your arm with his fingertips. You get the drill, girl. Soft romantic touches are fantastic to capture for your engagement!

Tip Number Three- Let Loose
I help pose my clients all the way through their Engagement Session and Portraits on their wedding day. In the end, it’s so great to just let go and get goofy! Seriously. Jump, dance, let him twirl you! There’s never a better time than now. These moments will be gone before you know it. What’s the harm in pushing your boundaries a bit for the photos you’ll love forever?

I promise, if you just follow those three little steps, you’ll be as good as gold and on track for some timeless romantic engagement photos with your guy!
